According to the requirements of the SOLAS Convention, all ships of 500 gross tonnage and upwards must be fitted out with AIS equipment not later than 30 June 2006. Thus, SSAS training is intended for improving safety and efficiency of navigation in the open sea and coastal waters through the automatic exchange of navigational, statistic and voyage information between the ships and coastal stations.

SSAS Satamatics SAT-101 is imitated as part of the Navaids Task in the Navi-Trainer Professional 5000. Connection of the HW SSAS alert buttons is available as an option.

SSAS supports the following modes:

  • Switching on;
  • Stand-by;
  • Alert mode;
  • Test mode;
  • Alert reset;
  • Switching off.
